My most recent Master's is the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne's M2 Financial Economics, a demanding programme that has complemented my financial and economic understanding and practical skills. My understanding of the macroeconomy, global finance market, and asset valuation methods greatly increased throughout this course, and I look forward to adapting and utilising this knowledge in my professional life.
I have always been a high achiever at school, achieving three A*s (Mathematics, Economics, Government and Politics) and an A (Physics) in my A-levels, with two As in AS Mathematics and Government and Politics. I have a natural aptitude for problem solving and numerical reasoning, which has helped me excel throughout my education, particularly in mathematics. I am able to grasp concepts quickly and form links between different disciplines, a skill that my undergraduate education in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Durham University relied on. At the time of writing, I have achieved a 2:1 from Durham University's rigorous PPE programme, a grade of 16 (equivalent to an A+) summa cum laude from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne's Master in Economics (PSME) programme and a grade of 15.81 (highest in cohort) from the same university.
Having grown up in both Australia and the United Kingdom, I have had a very active and varied upbringing. Living in Australia until the age of 8 instilled in me the importance of an active lifestyle from a very early age. I have been a keen swimmer for as long as I can remember, a passion that continued throughout my time at Durham. When I am at my family home in Gloucester, I take every opportunity to take my two black labradors out for walks in the countryside. I also love to play (very) amateur tennis with friends, go on runs and hike the countryside. Quiz shows are one of my favourite past-times and I have a passion for reading and learning. I am always keeping up to date with current affairs, following particularly closely, developments in the global political environment and events in global markets. Many of the research projects I have completed during my undergraduate and master's education have focused on these interests of mine and I carried this interest outside of academics into the publishing of a blog. Feel free to have a read here if you're interested.
